Who We Are
The Remnant Radio exists to produce relevant, inspiring, and entertaining content that educates those interested in biblical theology and a Christian worldview. Our Mission is to challenge orthodoxy, embrace diverse denominational leaders, and empower people for practical ministry.
Generally, historians date the start of the Protestant Reformation to the 1517 publication of Martin Luther’s “Ninety-Five Theses,” which protested the pope’s sale of reprieves from penance, or indulgences. By God’s grace, Luther and the other reformers began to see the scriptures with open eyes – free of religious opinions, rules, and regulations. The five “sola” statements were birthed in this time frame, among them “Sola Fide” & “Sola Gratia.” Salvation by grace alone through faith alone is a revelation that still infiltrates the church today. Why? Because men like the reformers were willing to ask the hard question: “Is this Biblical?” Every week, The Remnant Radio challenges orthodoxy (what is commonly taught) by asking “Is this Biblical?” Our goal is not to invalidate orthodoxy, but to challenge it on air weekly. If the doctrine can stand under intense scrutiny, then it must be legitimate. We do this so that our audience can be educated in critical thinking and biblical exegesis. The scriptures tell us that in the last days many will fall away by following deceitful doctrines. As a result, it is our chief goal at The Remnant Radio to ensure that we are equipping the church to be able to study so that they can show themselves approved.
Have you ever watched news channels such as CNN, Fox News, or MSNBC where the network brings on two guests? If you have, then you will have noticed that the first guest is normally eloquent and educated, holding the views of the network, but then the second guest comes across as rambling and ignorant. As a result, networks like these lose millions of followers as they shift from satellite television to Facebook and YouTube, where more authentic conversations take place. Here at The Remnant Radio, we are trying to become one of those authentic spaces on the web. We don’t want to create “thought bubbles” where every guest and viewer nods their head in mindless agreement. We want the best and brightest from every denomination, creed, and background to present their views of the scripture so that we, as a collective body, challenge those views. In our opinion, based on past experiences, the best way to test orthodoxy is by embracing diversity.
In a book produced by the Barna group titled Unchristian, David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons explain what complaints the world has toward the church. One of the chief complaints toward Christians in America was “Ignorance”. The world looks at the church and sees a people group who have grown up in a religious institution and cannot answer simple questions about their faith. We love theology, but our goal is not to simply share theology. We want theology to shape us as people, desiring for our lives to be transformed by the power of the Gospel, and striving to be a people ready to make a defense for our faith, in season and out of season.
What We Do
Currently, The Remnant Radio produces one show weekly on Monday nights at 8:30 PM CST. The show is live-streamed on Facebook and is later broadcasted across the world reaching one billion people through satellite television. Our current ministry has and always will focus on educating the church in matters of theology. However, as our ministry grows, we intend to add a variety of shows that encompass several topics such as evangelism, worship, discipleship, and more. We plan to host apologetic conferences, live debates, and pastoral trainings. God has placed a great vision in our hearts for this ministry and we know, by his grace, The Remnant Radio will continue to make a life-changing impact on our world.
